Do you think we got this thing working, guys? It looks like it... Ah yes, we've definitely got it now. Hello there, ladies and gentlemen!

[For a moment the journal is swarmed by two pink blobs. Once Duplica says hello they both let out a few cries before backing off. One Ditto decides to stay on the floor, but the other jumps up into Duplica's arms.]

My name is Duplica. I've been here for some time already but I didn't feel like jumping right into using my journal here without first getting a better understanding of how it works. [Otherwise it would be like jumping up on stage without properly rehearsing for a role.] I think I get it now though! Of course, these two were a big help.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you out there would mind giving me any spare clothes you might have. I'm sorry if that sounds a little strange, it's just I don't want to go and take too much from the clothing store you see.

[If she just went in and took enough clothes to make up all the costumes she had back home then the clothing store might have trouble outfitting anyone for the next few weeks.]

I think that's all there is to say right now, I hope the entire audience was able to catch that. Now Mini-Dit, say goodbye!

[At that, the Ditto that had remained on the floor slides back over to the journal, smothering it in pink again. Ditto transition, fade out!

A little time after addressing the journals, Duplica heads to the clothing store to see if she can find any of her costumes from home that might have shown up recently. Luckily, she's able to pick up this outfit pretty soon into her visit. She continues to look around the rest of the store whilst dressed up as everyone's favourite Pokemon nurse, accompanied by her two Ditto which hop and crawl after her all around the store. If anyone approaches her now she'll attempt to pull off her Nurse Joy impersonation, even if she doesn't have a Chansey to complete the look.]

Thank you, I'm glad you think so. [Cilan beams as he leans over to get a better look at her Dittos as well.]

From what I can see, your Ditto appear to be in excellent shape as well. I can sense the beginnings of a mellow fragrance about them. [Cilan-speak for "They look great too". Pansage gives a cheerful wave at Duplica, as well as Crustle as they both seem to be enjoying the company of the Dittos and Duplica. Stunfisk, on the other hand, is a bit hard to read, what with the somewhat blank look on its face and how it just sort of stares at the newcomers rather than being sociable.]

That's good, if your Sneasel learns Metal Claw then it will have learnt all the moves it can through training.

[~~Or at least it would have in gen II cough~~ And that's very impressive and all, but...]

Make sure you keep caring for your Pokemon and looking after them though. With your care they'll grow stronger!

[Oh Stunfisk, you certainly are an odd one. But if you're find just staring and now getting in on the party then that's okay!]

Ah, a mellow fragrance, I see! [...] I guess saying that my Ditto are mellow is a good thing. I've never heard someone say that about a Ditto before.

[Both Ditto and Mini-Dit are smooth and squishy, so calling them mellow would make a lot of sense. A mellow fragrance though? ... Duplica will just have to get used to the Cilan-speak.

Mini-Dit stays with Pansage and Crustle, seemingly making conversation or something with the other Pokemon. Ditto on the other hand crawls over to Stunfisk. Ditto stares back at Stunfisk for a moment or two before smiling and letting a friendly cry of 'Ditto!' in greeting.]

Then just take clothes from the clothing store if it's so important to you.

It's not that important, but if I have more clothes then the better it'll be.

['It' being her impersonations.]

[...Perhaps he should explain.] It is a good thing--it means your Ditto have a pleasantly smooth taste, and that they seem happy and healthy.

[Pansage and Crustle are more than happy to chat with Mini-Dit about this and that, while Stunfisk on the other hand...sort of stares at Ditto and doesn't really say anything back. Not much a talker, this one.]

I get it now, thanks for the explanation. I'm glad you noticed how happy they are! [Please don't taste her Ditto though-- Contrary to how they look, they are not strawberry jelly flavoured.] Ditto here was my first Pokemon back in Kanto. Ever since it learnt how to transform properly we've been happier than ever, and our team became even happier when Mini-Dit came along!

[Stunfisk, bro, are you okay? Ditto is perfectly fine just sitting there, staring back with a smile on its face. Clearly they are now best friends.]

[Don't worry, we don't actually mean literally tasting things...unless you're Burgundy.]

How wonderful! [It's always great to hear about how much people enjoy the bonds of their Pokemon~] Pansage was my first partner and we've been working together for quite a long time, while Crustle and Stunfisk were new friends we made when we started traveling sometime ago. [Before we came to Luceti, he means.

Stunfisk is alright, he's just quiet and kind of distant with unfamiliar people and Pokemon. But yes, he can totally be pals with Ditto, provided the other doesn't provoke him or something...]

[Nope. no provoking here. Just sitting, chilling, being a Ditto. All that good stuff.]

That's great, it seems trainers always make the best friends when they're traveling. I met plenty of trainers and Pokemon back home that came to visit my House of Imite! [But not all of them were friendly.] Except for a few run-ins with Team Rocket my journey has been fantastic.

[Have you heard of Team Rocket, Cilan? It's probably a long shout, but who knows!]

Team Rocket? [Wait what. There's a slight pause before--]

...They wouldn't happen to have been a duo that had a talking Meowth with them, would it?

...right. [rolls his eyes, he doesn't do well with sappy speeches about love and friendship] Well, I'll keep trying. And one day I'll battle you again and win!

Yes, I know, but I don't want to take too many clothes from the store at once. It wouldn't be fair to everyone else.

[Huff.] So why won't lending clothes work? If it's because you're a boy then I really don't mind, I'd be very grateful for anything I can get!

Meowth, that's right!

[That there was a very convincing talking Meowth impression.]

That doesn't matter, I can pin up any clothing that's too big for me later. [no dice]

Uh...huh. Okay. Well, I've got some stuff that's probably too small for me now. [He really just kind of shoved it into the back of his closet. Thank Arceus for identical clothing in larger sizes conveniently showing up!]

That'll do nicely, if you don't mind me taking it off your hands! [If it's too small she can always look for something that looks similar in her size later, when she's not going to be taking every piece of clothing ever from the store.]

Where do you want me to leave it, then?

When you think you've gotten stronger we can battle again. A Ditto master has to be ready to battle in order to get stronger after all!
