Good day, one and all! To all of you people listening in out there, I'd like to let you know that the SOS Brigade is holding a raffle. Today! All three of me will be handing out tickets at the SOS Brigade clubhouse, but we'll all be spreading out around the plaza too so keep an eye out for all of me!

[That's right, all three of her. Sorry, but there are no bonus prizes for anyone that ends up running into three 'Duplicas' today. Speaking of which, a raffle isn't much fun if you don't know what you're going in with a chance of winning, right?]

You might just end up winning one of these great prizes that the Brigade has lined up, so make sure you listen closely.

[Cue Duplica reading off the following list of prizes:
1. Free Brigade consultation
2. Free Favor from the Brigade
3. Ride on a Dragon
4. Spend a day with a celebrity of your choice

7. A bento created by the chief of the Brigade

Her enthusiasm seems to pick up when she reads out number four, that's definitely a good prize to get.]

So now you know what's going on all you have left to do is find me. We'll try and be around until noon today. We'll be drawing winners this afternoon so don't put it off until the last minute. All of me are looking forward to seeing all of you!

[After she's finished speaking, Duplica heads to the SOS clubhouse and stands outside with a bunch of tickets in her hands. There's also another Duplica wandering around the plaza with her own tickets and yet another, shorter Duplica doing the same thing. If you happen to talk to any of the Duplicas in the plaza then you'll only end up getting a friendly smile. The real deal and the clubhouse will be more than happy to talk and might even come over if any of her other 'Duplicas' are running into trouble.]

I'm sorry, I can understand what it's like when you're trying to get used to something.

[It still bothers her and her Pokemon a little to just be called a name like that though. After staring down at her Ditto for a short moment she suddenly comes up with an idea. Ahem, back to the impression she was putting on before.]

Hey kid, why don't you try holding one of them?

Um. Okay?

[He understands, a little. The larger part of his questions lie in their habitat, how they're able to transform, and their level of intelligence at this point. Though he had met intelligent animals before ~~a certain dolphin comes to mind~~, he's never dealt with one that took offence at random commentary. ~~Again, excluding that dolphin. She was a bitch.~~

Lupin offered out a hand slowly, as if he were trying to pet a strange dog. One of them could slide on, right?]

Great! Hold on now.

[Sliding on over would be boring. Duplica looks down at Mini-Dit and nods her head in Lupin's direction. It's okay, go and say hello!

Mini-Dit smiles and hops right out of Duplica's arms towards Lupin's hand with a cry. Try not to drop the poor little Ditto now!]

[Surprised, he caught the little thing with both of his hands--and freezes. It feels too much like an octopus for his comfort. The level of squishiness...]

Okay....um, now what?

Well... That's it! I was hoping that if you held onto Mini-Dit that you might end up understanding Ditto a little more.

[She moves her arms so one arm is free whilst the other one lightly cradles her Ditto close to her chest.]

Try holding Mini-Dit like this. Don't worry, he won't jump out of your hands if you're having trouble doing it.

I...see.

[He mimicked her motion and cradled the smaller Ditto against his chest. It's smooth skin and it's pliability still unnerved him--octopi--but the Ditto lacked the tentacles and the uncanny eyes that were known traits in octopods. Overall...]

It's kind of cute!

[And then it transformed into Octillery-]

I'm glad to hear you think that! A lot of people aren't very impressed by the way Ditto look, but I think they look just fine the way they are.

[Mini-Dit shifts left and right to get comfortable and then happily settles down in Lupin's arms.]

Looks like Mini-Dit has taken a liking to you.

Lupin froze, fighting the urge to drop the little Ditto--]

[The giggling catches Duplica off guard, but a reaction like that can only be a good thing, surely!

Mini-Dit starts to wriggle free from Lupin's grasp and bounces back over the Duplica and her other Ditto.]

If you like then you can come and say hello to him anytime you like, we're all normally here at the SOS clubhouse.

[The tension leaves his shoulders as the octopus-ditto bounced out of his arms. Octopi...he didn't like octopi.]

I'll...uh. I'll remember that.

Good, see that you do!

[Duplica winks as she sees to both of her Ditto for a moment, making sure they're both okay before continuing.]

So Lupin, what sort of prize are you hoping to win in the raffle?

[...he ignores that first comment. The dittos themselves were cute, but he didn't want another incident with an octopus. He instead smiles, glad to get onto a different topic.]

I was hoping to win the slot machine, honestly. We have games like that at home, and it's been ages since I last played with one.

We have slot machines back home too! In Kanto I know there was a town that never slept with these sorts of machines. I think it was called Neon Town.

[She's never been herself, but she's certainly heard of the town and slot machines.]

I can't say I've ever played on one myself though.

Town that never slept? Sounds like Vegas. [Not that he was going to elaborate on the gambling, drinking, and burlesque dancers on the strip to a girl.]

You should try one sometime, since they're here. Maybe you can earn tickets in exchange for prizes, like mp3 players or a neat sculpture.

Maybe I could ask the Chief if I can have a go, before the winners are drawn anyway. I'm not sure what prize I'd like to win, but what's an mp3 player?

Let's say that you have a song, but you want to listen to it on headphones instead of on the radio. An mp3 player lets you do that.

Oh, I see! That sounds pretty handy.

[Were she more into music then maybe she would look into it.]

I'm sure some radios can use headphones though. Come to think of it, it's a shame the enclosure doesn't have a radio station.

[That's probably asking too much though, Luceti isn't a huge city like Goldenrod is with its Radio Tower.]

Ah, but an mp3 player lets you pick out the songs you want to listen to instead of the letting the radio choose for you.

...I'd like to have a radio station here too, actually. But I don't think we have the tech for it.

Even if we did have the technology to broadcast a radio signal, I wonder how the Malnosso would react to that sort of thing anyway. They might use a shift to cancel it out so it wouldn't work, or just take away the technology to do it.

[That was actually a topic he periodically wondered about as well.]

You know what? I have no idea. They do allow communication radios on missions or drafts though, so who knows?
