Do you think we got this thing working, guys? It looks like it... Ah yes, we've definitely got it now. Hello there, ladies and gentlemen!

[For a moment the journal is swarmed by two pink blobs. Once Duplica says hello they both let out a few cries before backing off. One Ditto decides to stay on the floor, but the other jumps up into Duplica's arms.]

My name is Duplica. I've been here for some time already but I didn't feel like jumping right into using my journal here without first getting a better understanding of how it works. [Otherwise it would be like jumping up on stage without properly rehearsing for a role.] I think I get it now though! Of course, these two were a big help.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you out there would mind giving me any spare clothes you might have. I'm sorry if that sounds a little strange, it's just I don't want to go and take too much from the clothing store you see.

[If she just went in and took enough clothes to make up all the costumes she had back home then the clothing store might have trouble outfitting anyone for the next few weeks.]

I think that's all there is to say right now, I hope the entire audience was able to catch that. Now Mini-Dit, say goodbye!

[At that, the Ditto that had remained on the floor slides back over to the journal, smothering it in pink again. Ditto transition, fade out!

A little time after addressing the journals, Duplica heads to the clothing store to see if she can find any of her costumes from home that might have shown up recently. Luckily, she's able to pick up this outfit pretty soon into her visit. She continues to look around the rest of the store whilst dressed up as everyone's favourite Pokemon nurse, accompanied by her two Ditto which hop and crawl after her all around the store. If anyone approaches her now she'll attempt to pull off her Nurse Joy impersonation, even if she doesn't have a Chansey to complete the look.]

Hello Duplica, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Cilan...though, I'm afraid that I might not be able to offer any spare clothes of mine, since they might not be to your tastes. ['Cause, you know, we're kind of tall and a guy, so...]

And the same to you, Cilan! Don't worry, I'm sure anything you have that you don't mind giving away will be just perfect.

[What better way to imitate a person than by using their own clothes! Sure there might have to be a little pinning back and folding to account for the size difference, but she could make it work!]

Really? [Well...] If you don't mind my asking, what do you need them for?

[Spare clothes that belong to other people like him, he means.]

Why don't you bring over what you have and I can show you? It'll ruin the show if I spoil it for you before it even starts.

[Telling a person 'I need your clothes so I can imitate you' and then doing just that kinda kills the impact of the whole routine.]

[~~Fair enough~~ The "show", huh...]

Hmm...well, I must admit that I'm curious to see what you have in mind. Where would you like me to meet with you, then?

You can come to the room I have here if you want, but I don't mind where we meet up really! Anywhere is fine, ah, as long as you don't mind my Ditto tagging along that is.

[As if on cue, one of her Ditto slides into the view of the journal. Hello there!]

[Eeee, hello there Ditto.] Of course I don't mind! Your Pokemon are more than welcome to accompany you, provided you don't mind if my own Pokemon are tagging along as well.

So you're a trainer too? That's great, I don't mind at all! In fact if that's the case then I insist you bring them with you. [A Ditto master should always take the chance to study new Pokemon!]

Since we're going to have a lot of friends running around, maybe we should meet outside? I can head to the fountain at the plaza if you like.

[And as a Pokemon Connoisseur, we absolutely must take the chance to study your Ditto as well.]

Yes, that should be fine. We'll be sure to meet you there in a timely fashion!

[With her journal and both of her Dittos wrapped up in her arms it's going to be a challenge getting to the fountain. But she can handle it!

In fact, if the timing is right, Cilan might be able to catch Duplica nudging the door to CH1 open with her foot before heading outside and off to the plaza.]

[...Wow, couldn't you have just mentioned that you were living in the same complex as us? Would have saved a lot of walking and carrying of Pokemon and things to be done. Then again...they'd probably end up going to the plaza anyway--judging from the way she's trying to carry her Dittos, she might not have found their pokeballs yet, which could be in one of the shops somewhere.

So once you're already out the door and have gotten a head start on us by this point of debating and having gathered whatever is needed, you'll eventually have Cilan catching up to you and with him a bag of stuff, but otherwise with some free hands of his own to possibly help you out.] It looks like you're dealing with a bit of a challenging taste at the moment. Would you like me to carry your journal for you?

[Of course not, how ridiculous. That would have made things easy! Carrying her Dittos like this is a pretty common thing, even when she has their pokeballs on hand. Though she seems to be managing okay a helping hand would be great.]

Oh, hello! [Both Dittos turn and look at Cilan as he catches up, letting out a few cries in greeting.] If it's not a problem for you then that would be a great help.

[Duplica adjusts her hold on her Pokemon and her journal so to try and hand Cilan the journal as best she can.]

Of course, it's not a problem at all. [He'll take the handed journal to hold onto for her.] I almost wish I had caught up to you sooner--it looks like your accommodations here might be close to the same building as ours.

Looks like it. I should have mentioned where I was staying sooner, sorry Cilan. At least this way we met up even sooner!

[She laughs off the oversight and carries on walking, nodding her head as thanks for Cilan's help.]

Why don't you tell me about what friends you have with you whilst we're walking?

Well...are you familiar with the Unova region at all, by any chance?

[A blank stare... That's a no.]

I live in Kanto and I've traveled to the Johto region, but I don't think I've ever heard of Unova before.

Ah, I see. [He's not surprised.] My Pokemon and I are from the Unova region, so they would likely have an unfamiliar taste for you.

[But he still smiles.] But to answer your previous question, the friends I have with me are my Pansage, Crustle, and Stunfisk. [Though he doesn't expect for those species names to be familiar at all to you.] I'd be more than happy to introduce them to you once we've reached our destination.

I don't recognise those Pokemon at all. [An unfamiliar taste is right. It seems as though Duplica will have her work cut out studying up on these new Pokemon and their moves in future.]

Thank you Cilan, I appreciate it. A Ditto master should really be familiar with every Pokemon out there, so this will be a big help.

[He nods] To be honest, I've heard of Ditto before, but this is the first time I've ever seen a real one in person--they have an extremely rare taste and are close to impossible to find in Unova. [~~Unless you go to the Giant Chasms but we haven't been there yet.~~]

I see. Ditto are pretty uncommon back in Kanto and Johto, but they're not too hard to find. [After all, she has two of them.] If the Ditto over in Unova are incredibly rare then maybe there are some Ditto there with super unique ways of transforming too! [Note to self: Go to Unova. ~~Only don't because you're a side character who will never show up ever again--~~

Before long they've both reached the fountain, giving Duplica a chance to let Ditto and Mini-Dit hop down onto the floor for a moment.] Here we are! You guys stay close to us, okay?

[Once you're able to take it, he'll hand your journal back to you while he's getting out his pokeballs.]

Well, we may not have Ditto, but there's Zorua and it's evolved form Zoroark--they have a somewhat similar taste in that they can change into other Pokemon, though they can also change their appearance to look like humans as well.

So there are other Pokemon out there that can transform just like Ditto? I'm surprised that I hadn't heard of a Zorua or a Zoroark until now! [Well, there's Mew too, but he's legendary and he can do what he wants.] I'm certain that with a little practice my two Ditto could transform into humans too!

[Damn right they could. The two Ditto bounce around approvingly.]

[Aww, that's cute. Cilan nods approvingly before he has his pokeballs in his hands.]

Now then, allow me to present to you my vintage Pokemon! [Tosses all three up into the air where they open and reveal the Pokemon inside: Meet Pansage, Crustle, and Derpfish--I mean, Stunfisk!]

[Well this is certainly an interesting variety of Pokemon here. Pansage is obviously a grass type. Crustle looks at least part rock or ground. And Stunfisk... Well, it looks like a fish, so maybe it's a water type?

Duplica waves to Cilan's Pokemon before leaning forward to get a closer look at Pansage. Hey there little guy!]

Vintage is right, your Pokemon look like they've be cared for excellently Cilan! They look very healthy.

[Duplica's two Ditto crawl on over to say hello and join in the fun. Pokeparty up in here.]

Thank you, I'm glad you think so. [Cilan beams as he leans over to get a better look at her Dittos as well.]

From what I can see, your Ditto appear to be in excellent shape as well. I can sense the beginnings of a mellow fragrance about them. [Cilan-speak for "They look great too". Pansage gives a cheerful wave at Duplica, as well as Crustle as they both seem to be enjoying the company of the Dittos and Duplica. Stunfisk, on the other hand, is a bit hard to read, what with the somewhat blank look on its face and how it just sort of stares at the newcomers rather than being sociable.]
