Do you think we got this thing working, guys? It looks like it... Ah yes, we've definitely got it now. Hello there, ladies and gentlemen!

[For a moment the journal is swarmed by two pink blobs. Once Duplica says hello they both let out a few cries before backing off. One Ditto decides to stay on the floor, but the other jumps up into Duplica's arms.]

My name is Duplica. I've been here for some time already but I didn't feel like jumping right into using my journal here without first getting a better understanding of how it works. [Otherwise it would be like jumping up on stage without properly rehearsing for a role.] I think I get it now though! Of course, these two were a big help.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you out there would mind giving me any spare clothes you might have. I'm sorry if that sounds a little strange, it's just I don't want to go and take too much from the clothing store you see.

[If she just went in and took enough clothes to make up all the costumes she had back home then the clothing store might have trouble outfitting anyone for the next few weeks.]

I think that's all there is to say right now, I hope the entire audience was able to catch that. Now Mini-Dit, say goodbye!

[At that, the Ditto that had remained on the floor slides back over to the journal, smothering it in pink again. Ditto transition, fade out!

A little time after addressing the journals, Duplica heads to the clothing store to see if she can find any of her costumes from home that might have shown up recently. Luckily, she's able to pick up this outfit pretty soon into her visit. She continues to look around the rest of the store whilst dressed up as everyone's favourite Pokemon nurse, accompanied by her two Ditto which hop and crawl after her all around the store. If anyone approaches her now she'll attempt to pull off her Nurse Joy impersonation, even if she doesn't have a Chansey to complete the look.]

What are those monsters?

[You should know, Duplica, that she doesn't use "monsters" as an insult or a derogatory word. It's like asking "what are those animals".]

[HOW DARE YOU CALL HER DITTOS MONSTERS.]

My little Ditto are not monsters, they're Pokemon! I've already met some trainers here, but I'm going to guess you're not a trainer yourself? [Seeing as you think her poor Dittos are MONSTERS.]

[FROWN.]

Monsters aren't bad. ...You're like Silver and Green.

[Sorry Silver, she's lost. She's only been here a few days and there is a lot of forest to look through just to find one person. She could always reopen the journal and ask where Silver is specifically, but when you're carrying two Dittos in your arms that task is a little difficult.

Hopefully Silver will notice a girl in a red shirt wandering through the trees with her Pokemon sometime soon.]

[Monsters aren't bad? So it wasn't a jab at her Pokemon. You're in the okay!]

I'm like silver and green?

[Well the green she can understand, her hair is some sort of greeny-turquoise after all. Even then telling someone they're like a colour is a little confusing.]

I don't understand what you're talking about.

They have mon- [SIGH] Pokemon, like that. ...Not like that. [All purplish pink and wiggly.] Fire dragons and dark crows.

[He finds her, but not soon enough for his tastes. He gives her a bit of a dirty look.]

You're late.

[Hmm. With those descriptions it should be easy to work out which Pokemon she means.]

I think you're talking about Charizard and Murkrow.

['Fire dragon' was simple. The only dark type she's aware of that is anything like a crow is Murkrow, so that helped narrow it down. ah, gen II.]

Heeey, I get it, you're saying there are some other trainers around here with Pokemon like that whose names are Silver and Green!

Well it was a little hard trying to find you. Just telling me to meet you in the forest when this whole village is surrounded by one isn't very smart.

[Carefully, Duplica lets both of her Ditto hop free from her arms and onto the ground.]

Would a one on one Pokemon battle be fine with you?

[She's pretty sure there isn't a Pokemon Center in the village that she take can take her Ditto to if they both get hurt, so it's best to play it safe with a one against one match.]

[Why did she start talking to this one, again?]

Yeah. ['What did you think I was saying' is just implied.]

[He side-eyes her insinuation that he's dumb, but he'll get her back for that by winning this battle.]

Sounds good to me. [takes out Pokeball] Let's do this, Quilava!

[Well now she feels kind of dumb for not getting it before.]

Sorry, I didn't think those were names at all, especially green. I thought that maybe you meant my hair!

[Duplica just laughs it off. Dohoho, colours and names. It was an easy mistake to make!]

You can handle this, can't you Mini-Dit?

[One of the Dittos lets out a cry in response before leaping forward.]

It looks like Mini-Dit is ready to go. Can you transform into Quilava for me?

[Mini-Dit changes shape, a bright white light engulfing it for a moment as it transforms into Quilava. Unlike a normal Ditto, Mini-Dit's transformation are always on the small side, resulting in transformation which is more the size of a Cyndaquil than a Quilava.]

Now we're ready for battle!

Ha! [That thing is tiny okay? Silver's totally sure he's gonna win this.] This is almost going to be too easy! [assumes battle stance] Quilava, Flame Wheel!

[What it lacks in size it makes up for in talent!]

Watch out Mini-Dit, you can do this!

[Mini-Dit leaps out of the way to avoid the attack, being careful to avoid any of the flames. With Mini-Dit safely out of the way Duplica announces her attack!]

Okay Mini-Dit, use Swift! [Quilava should be able to learn Swift, but it all comes down to how well Silver has trained his Quilava and if it even knows the move in the first place. If Quilava doesn't then the attack will fail.]

[Fortunately for Mini-Dit, Quilava does. Unfortunately for Quilava the attack hits for quite a bit of damage, knocking the poor thing off his feet momentarily. Silver glares slightly before resuming his confident smirk.]

Oh, so that's how you want to play. Quilava, use Quick Attack, now! [Quilava's pretty fast, but whether the attack hits depends on how fast Mini-Dit is...]

Of course, it's not a problem at all. [He'll take the handed journal to hold onto for her.] I almost wish I had caught up to you sooner--it looks like your accommodations here might be close to the same building as ours.

[Unsurprisingly, Mini-Dit isn't all that agile for a blob. Even as a transformed Quilava it has trouble keeping up, which means the Quick Attack lands a direct hit. Mini-Dit slides back slightly from the brunt of the attack.]

That's a powerful Quick Attack... Try a Flamethrower attack Mini-Dit, go!

[Mini-Dit takes a deep breath and readies a Flamethrower. Should Quilava know the attack then soon there will be flames spewing everywhere! If Quilava doesn't then Mini-Dit is leaving itself open to an attack if it fails.]

Looks like it. I should have mentioned where I was staying sooner, sorry Cilan. At least this way we met up even sooner!

[She laughs off the oversight and carries on walking, nodding her head as thanks for Cilan's help.]

Well...are you familiar with the Unova region at all, by any chance?

How good are you at acting?

I like to think I'm pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Then offer your services if I need them.

Okay. If you ever need an actor then you can count on me and my Ditto. Are you into acting yourself?

[A blank stare... That's a no.]

I live in Kanto and I've traveled to the Johto region, but I don't think I've ever heard of Unova before.
