[For a moment the journal is swarmed by two pink blobs. Once Duplica says hello they both let out a few cries before backing off. One Ditto decides to stay on the floor, but the other jumps up into Duplica's arms.]

My name is Duplica. I've been here for some time already but I didn't feel like jumping right into using my journal here without first getting a better understanding of how it works. [Otherwise it would be like jumping up on stage without properly rehearsing for a role.] I think I get it now though! Of course, these two were a big help.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you out there would mind giving me any spare clothes you might have. I'm sorry if that sounds a little strange, it's just I don't want to go and take too much from the clothing store you see.

[If she just went in and took enough clothes to make up all the costumes she had back home then the clothing store might have trouble outfitting anyone for the next few weeks.]

[At that, the Ditto that had remained on the floor slides back over to the journal, smothering it in pink again. Ditto transition, fade out!

A little time after addressing the journals, Duplica heads to the clothing store to see if she can find any of her costumes from home that might have shown up recently. Luckily, she's able to pick up this outfit pretty soon into her visit. She continues to look around the rest of the store whilst dressed up as everyone's favourite Pokemon nurse, accompanied by her two Ditto which hop and crawl after her all around the store. If anyone approaches her now she'll attempt to pull off her Nurse Joy impersonation, even if she doesn't have a Chansey to complete the look.]

[Well now she feels kind of dumb for not getting it before.]

Sorry, I didn't think those were names at all, especially green. I thought that maybe you meant my hair!

[Duplica just laughs it off. Dohoho, colours and names. It was an easy mistake to make!]

[Shrug. Carlos and Carla and Sherman have green hair and it's never really bothered her.]

There are many hair colors here.

Yes, I guess there would be a lot of different colours and styles here. This place seems bigger than some of the towns I know back home, so there must be all sorts of people around this place.

A few hundred, maybe.

[Why did she start talking to a new person, again?]

[To be social perhaps? That's always a nice reason to talk to people, the whole talking part.]

That's quite a lot! Do you mind if I ask how long you've been here... ?

[There's a pause as she struggles for a name. Who are yooou.]

One season.

[That works for almost no one ever. She takes a minute to actually look at the ridiculously long Luceti calendar.]

Two months?

Two whole months huh? I'm sorry to hear that.

[Unless you're enjoying yourself here, Duplica really can't see much of an upside to this situation though.]

Raven. Not really. But we're stuck.

[So don't complain. Besides, not everyone here is...terrible...she guesses.]

I get that everyone is stuck here, but it seems like a lot of people are still enjoying themselves. I met a whole bunch of people while I was looking for a place to stay! [And they all seemed okay with being here.]

You're probably staying with everyone else who has...pokemon.

That's right! Apparently this building I'm staying in is home to lots of other trainers too, Ditto and Mini-Dit will definitely be happy about that.

[What's with that pause there missy.] Are you fond of Pokemon, Raven?

Yeah. [Whoa. Admitting it? ...But she is.] Yours are different.

[That's great to hear!] Ditto are pretty unique, there isn't a single other Pokemon out there that's quite like them.

[Well Grimer and Muk sort of look the same, being amorphous blobs too and all. But that's the only slight similarity.]

[No other odd orchid blobs, huh?]

Unique isn't always good.

Not always. But when it comes to Ditto I think it's a good thing!

[They can transform and they're all squishy and awesome... Unless you mean unique as a nice way of saying 'weird'.]

Probably. Your monsters are different, in your world. People see them differently.

I'm not sure how else you can see Pokemon, other than as your friends and partners. Though I guess the monsters from where you came from are less friendly than most Pokemon, and that's why they're seen differently to Pokemon.

[She would feel a little insulted if the less friendly part weren't true. Monsters need to be coaxed into being your ally.]

No one in your world...thinks other things?

Well some people from my world might find certain Pokemon to be scary. Other people don't see Pokemon as good or bad things at all, they just see them as...

[Prizes? Targets? How would she best describe how Team Rocket saw her Dittos?]

As objects. Objects they can steal without another thought.

They don't speak like humans do. ...But they aren't things.

They're far from 'things', Pokemon are a trainer's friends. Though now we're talking about this, I do remember one Pokemon that could speak like any other human could.
