Do you think we got this thing working, guys? It looks like it... Ah yes, we've definitely got it now. Hello there, ladies and gentlemen!

[For a moment the journal is swarmed by two pink blobs. Once Duplica says hello they both let out a few cries before backing off. One Ditto decides to stay on the floor, but the other jumps up into Duplica's arms.]

My name is Duplica. I've been here for some time already but I didn't feel like jumping right into using my journal here without first getting a better understanding of how it works. [Otherwise it would be like jumping up on stage without properly rehearsing for a role.] I think I get it now though! Of course, these two were a big help.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you out there would mind giving me any spare clothes you might have. I'm sorry if that sounds a little strange, it's just I don't want to go and take too much from the clothing store you see.

[If she just went in and took enough clothes to make up all the costumes she had back home then the clothing store might have trouble outfitting anyone for the next few weeks.]

I think that's all there is to say right now, I hope the entire audience was able to catch that. Now Mini-Dit, say goodbye!

[At that, the Ditto that had remained on the floor slides back over to the journal, smothering it in pink again. Ditto transition, fade out!

A little time after addressing the journals, Duplica heads to the clothing store to see if she can find any of her costumes from home that might have shown up recently. Luckily, she's able to pick up this outfit pretty soon into her visit. She continues to look around the rest of the store whilst dressed up as everyone's favourite Pokemon nurse, accompanied by her two Ditto which hop and crawl after her all around the store. If anyone approaches her now she'll attempt to pull off her Nurse Joy impersonation, even if she doesn't have a Chansey to complete the look.]

[Having enough costumes to hold a village wide costume party is a pretty good reason to join up. Plus Haruhi seems like a nice person, groping aside. It's no Pokemon council for the performing arts, buuut...]

I think you can add three more members to the SOS-Brigade!

Excellent! Now, while you try those on I should explain the actual stated goals and edicts of the Brigade! Unless, unlike everyone else, you actually read our passage in the Guide.

[Eep. Duplica busies herself with the racks of clothing and her Ditto so to hide the sheepish smile on her face.]

I'm sorry, but could you refresh my memory? I'm sure there's no better way to learn about the Brigade's goals than from the chief herself, after all.

[She'll get back to reading that part of the guide over. Promise.]

True, true! Well, okay, the first edict you're going to know is that the order of the Chief are absolute law in this place! It's a tyranny, not a democracy or anything fancy like that! Opinions are considered and suggestions answered, of course though. You can think if it like I'm the daimyo, and you're the retainers!

But aside from that, the stated purpose of the SOS-Brigade is "To ensure that everyone in Luceti experiences a worthwhile life. The SOS-Brigade will be there to support troubled people in whatever capacity they need to be assisted."

[Recited from heart, even]

Basically, what this means is that the Spreading Excitement All Over the World with Haruhi Suzumiya Brigade - SOS-Brigade for short - is dedicated to making sure people live worthwhile lives and have some pleasure and enjoyment even in a world like this! Being wary or sad all the time isn't healthy for anyone, after all!

[And here she was thinking she might have joined some sort of distress relief group... Which is kind of what it is, spreading excitement and giving everyone a worthwhile life and everything! Oh, heeey, that makes sense. Ahaha.]

Those really are some wonderful aims, it's absolutely no fun at all to be sad all the time, like you said. Hopefully Ditto, Mini-Dit and myself won't let you down.

[Whilst speaking, Duplica tries on another outfit. And another. Thank goodness there are plenty of clothes in her size here.]

[No other odd orchid blobs, huh?]

He nods in agreement.] Yes, that's one way to look at it! It might even be able to give Luke's Zorua a little competition for coming up with transformations with interesting tastes...

[His Pokemon, Crustle especially, seems to think so too as his normal sized Crustle waves a claw back at Mini-Dit as well. And Stunfisk at least seems to be showing some emotion now, looking just a little curious at the mini-Crustle and the other Stunfisk.]

[Clothes? Wha]

I don't think my clothes would be of any use to you. Why are you looking for clothing?

Why do you say that? [If it's because you're a guy then that really isn't an issue.]

If I said why then that would ruin the surprise.

Not always. But when it comes to Ditto I think it's a good thing!

[They can transform and they're all squishy and awesome... Unless you mean unique as a nice way of saying 'weird'.]

Is that so? And what could Luke's Zorua do that gave each of its transformation an exciting flair? I'm sure whatever it is my delectable Ditto and Mini-Dit could match it!

[All the faith in her Dittos. All of it.

For the sake of giving all of Cilan's Pokemon a chance to meet their mini selves, Mini-Dit then takes the form of Stunfisk whilst Ditto changes into a normal sized Pansage. Mini-Dit will even flop over to Cilan's Stunfisk to say hello. Now both Dittos are familiar with everyone!]

Yeah? So how do you determine whether you want to bond with a Ditto or not, then?

By seeing how much a Ditto wants to bond with me! I'll gladly bond with any Ditto that wants to be a friend and join the team, even if they can't transform properly or have any other troubles. I'd love to help them out! [Again. Every Ditto. Ever.]

Probably. Your monsters are different, in your world. People see them differently.

Well, his Zorua is like the ones that I mentioned before, in that it has the ability to change it's appearance to look like any Pokemon, or even any human it wants. Luke and his Zorua often do this for movies that they make, since Luke is an aspiring film-maker. [In fact, we've been in two of his movies!] So Zorua can play as the characters in the movies he makes...though, his Zorua's tastes are that it only likes to change it's appearances into female humans or Pokemon. Also, unlike Ditto who can copy the movesets of Pokemon that they transform into, Zoruas in general don't copy the same moves in battles.

[Hmm. Well...]

[He could give her a cloak or two of his. He rarely wears those things anymore.]

So you're a trainer as well. Are those ditto your only Pokémon?

Great! I can either come and collect whatever you have spare from you or you can come over here, it's up to you.

[Upon being mentioned, the Ditto in Duplica's arms smiles and sways back and forth. It's like Ditto is trying to wave!]

That's right, Ditto and Mini-Dit here are the only Pokemon on my team right now.

I'm not sure how else you can see Pokemon, other than as your friends and partners. Though I guess the monsters from where you came from are less friendly than most Pokemon, and that's why they're seen differently to Pokemon.

Wow, a real film-maker, I hope he makes it big and becomes a star sometime soon! It's not often you see many movies that star Pokemon after all.

[Well. Except for that one Psyduck and Wigglytuff flick. Maaan, why didn't she get invited to audition for that anyway-]

... That Zorua certainly sounds like quite the Pokemon! They have such a unique way of transforming, not counting the tastes this Zorua has. But if it can't copy a Pokemon's moves as well then you must need to use some very convincing strategies to make the transformation seem convincing.

The house gets hectic, so I'll meet you instead.

Ah, then you should definitely come to Unova someday! Unova is well-known for having lots of movies with a wide variety of flavors to suit everyone's tastes, and we even have our very own Poke'Star Studios where many of them are made!

As for Zorua, especially wild ones, most of it can rely on being used simply as a defensive mechanism just for tricking people with it's appearance, but if the taste of their disguise is too transparent, they will often just go back to their normal appearance to attack. Otherwise, yes, trained Zoruas have to come up with different strategies for this if they hope to use their transformation abilities in battle.

Mmmhm! Meetings are daily during the week, but we also encourage people to spend free time here in case any clients show up. Hence the front desk, you know.
